Reggina axe Pillon to recall Orlandi
Sunday 25 January, 2009

Reggina have sacked Bepi Pillon and recalled his predecessor Nevio Orlandi after sliding to the foot of the table.

The Coach was still looking for his first victory since taking over from Orlandi (pictured) on December 16 and lasted only five weeks at the Stadio Granillo.

The final straw for Pillon was Saturday's 1-0 home defeat at the hands of relegation rivals Chievo, who leapfrogged Reggina in the standings.

That result left the Amaranto bottom of the table with 13 points - three adrift of Chievo and five away from the safety zone.

Pillon becomes the sixth Coach to be fired in Serie A this season. The first was Palermo's Stefano Colantuono on September 4, just one round into the campaign.
