Palermo have made an offer for Brazilian sensation Nilmar that could be finalised on Monday, said the striker’s agent.
President Maurizio Zamparini had stated he would not be making any big signings during the January transfer window, but that does not seem to be the case.
“An offer from Palermo exists and is on the table, but we will clarify his future starting from Monday.
“We want to conclude this deal,” agent Orlando da Hora told Radio Bandejrantes.
It is believed the Rosanero have bid just under the £15m Internacional are demanding to release Nilmar.
The 24-year-old already has experience in Europe with French outfit Lyon and Palermo’s previous offer for around £10m was rejected in the summer.
“We have been tracking him for a long time,” confessed Zamparini this morning. “We won’t let the matter go until the very end.
“Nilmar is talented and young, but it is always difficult to conclude moves of this importance during the January transfer window.”
Nilmar is not the only target for the Sicilians, as it is also reported that 23-year-old Argentine wide man Jose Ernesto Sosa could arrive on loan from Bayern Munich.
