Mutarelli harbours Lazio grudge
Friday 23 January, 2009

Bologna new recruit Massimo Mutarelli has explained why he feels so let down by former side Lazio.

The 31-year-old went through the courts to rescind his contract with Lazio and signed a contract with Bologna yesterday.

“I am happy and I will be better still when I get back on the pitch,” Mutarelli said on Radio Erre 2.

“I still need a little time because I haven't played for six months, but I'm not scared of hard work.

“I had some horrible months at Lazio because they stopped me playing the sport that I love and that had repercussions for my physical and mental condition.

“You can't always agree with everyone, but there are certain ways that people must conduct themselves.

“I suffered an attack on my person that went beyond my status as a player. There were various reasons but I didn't understand because I always gave my best.

“I'm still disappointed with lots of people at Lazio and that's upsetting because it has tarnished my relationships in Rome off the pitch.”
