A granite block is how Genoa defender Matteo Ferrari describes his sides defence which has now kept a clean sheet for 343 minutes.
The Rossoblu broke into the top four on Sunday as they beat Lecce 2-0 in Puglia to record their third straight victory in Serie A.
The merit is to be shared between each and every one of us, said Ferrari, who joined Genoa on a free transfer from Roma last summer.
We are working in a certain way and enjoying it, he added. Even those who have little chance of playing regularly have put themselves on show, actively participating in the dressing room.
We all defend. We are a compact and united block of granite. From a tactical point of view, we are also in a position to change [and adapt during a match].
Its not by chance that we are in fourth place, concluded Ferrari whose form has attracted the attention of Italy Coach Marcello Lippi.
Genoa play Catania at Marassi on Sunday where they are unbeaten this season. The Rossoblus top scorer Diego Milito is expected to return after missing the clubs last three games.
