Serie A: Trio get two-match bans
Tuesday 20 January, 2009

Marek Hamsik, Simone Barone and Mariano Izco have been handed two-match bans, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ruled out.

Napoli midfielder Hamsik and Torino's Barone were carded for dissent and are given two-match suspensions, while Catania man Izco is also ruled out for two games after a leg-breaker tackle on Davide Bombardini.

During that Catania-Bologna match both Coaches were sent off for complaining to the referee, so Walter Zenga and Sinisa Mihajlovic are banned for the next match.

Numerous others have been held back for one round, including Inter star Ibrahimovic and Juventus duo Cristian Molinaro and Momo Sissoko.
