Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar has told his teammates not to panic after their shock 3-1 defeat at Atalanta on Sunday.
The Nerazzurri were completely outclassed by their opponents and are now just three points ahead of second placed Juventus.
We have to stay calm, explained the Brazilian. Tomorrow is the perfect day to speak about it, to face up to it and understand what is not working.
It was a very sad day. We were flat, out of rhythm and ultimately paid for it. Atalanta were splendid. They are a team that plays well without an inferiority complex.
Serbian midfielder Dejan Stankovic was just as honest as Julio Cesar in his appraisal of Inters performance, calling it ugly.
For a period, they completely dominated us, said Stankovic. They gave everything in the first 30 to 35 minutes and that was enough to put us out of the game.
Atalanta cut our legs off when they got their second goal. In Bergamo we saw the worst Inter of the season, but well react quickly. Certain defeats make you grow.
Colombian defender Ivan Cordoba was also in an unforgiving mood. He told reporters that Inter were terrible, but insisted that the errors they made will not be repeated in the future.
The Nerazzurri will be looking to put things right in time for Wednesday when they face Roma in the Coppa Italia.
