While Manchester City reportedly try to sign Jose Mourinho, the Inter boss is swooping for Spurs duo Jermaine Jenas and Gareth Bale.
It is claimed in some of the British newspapers this morning that City are expanding their plans by drawing up a multi-million pound contract to put Mourinho at the helm from next season.
The club is already in the news for a £108m offer for Milan star Kaka and the Italian Press claims they are also looking at Inter defender Marco Materazzi.
Meanwhile, the Corriere dello Sport suggests that the Nerazzurri are eyeing up some Premier League targets.
If Adriano or Hernan Crespo are released to join Tottenham, then it would be with Jenas and Bale as part of the deal.
Mourinho already stated this week that he was interested in Jenas who has seemingly rejected a move to Portsmouth in order to seek more ambitious sides.
The new addition to the story is represented by 19-year-old Welsh international left-back Bale, who has been dubbed the new Ryan Giggs.
He signed a new four-year contract in August and is recovering from ligament damage in his right ankle.
