Osvaldo and Almiron for Bologna
Friday 16 January, 2009

Bologna are about to complete a double deal with Fiorentina for Pablo Daniel Osvaldo and Sergio Almiron.

Reports from several sources have stated this evening that Osvaldo has accepted the permanent move to the Dall’Ara for £5m.

“The Fiorentina director of sport is talking to several different clubs and I can say there is a basic deal with Bologna for Osvaldo,” confirmed agent Dario Decoud.

“I will arrive in Italy on Monday. However, I can also say that there is a very important offer from a Spanish side worth £5.5m and then West Ham have shown interest, but only on loan.

“Fiorentina will only release him on a permanent deal. Roma would like him on loan or in a co-ownership deal, but I doubt that is going to happen.”

The latest reports suggest Osvaldo has accepted Bologna’s proposal, so the Under-21 international will be a new partner to current Capocannoniere Marco Di Vaio.

Fiorentina are also in intense negotiations with the Rossoblu for another player, as terms have been agreed for Almiron and both clubs are waiting for the midfielder to give a thumbs up.

Argentine Almiron is still owned by Juventus, so the Bianconeri are also involved in these talks.
