Pato: Kaka, please stay
Friday 16 January, 2009

Milan striking starlet Alexandre Pato has urged Kaka to resist the lure of Manchester City. “I would stay put.”

The Eastlands outfit are ready to offer Kaka around £500,000 per week if he trades Milan for Manchester.

But compatriot Pato is convinced the move would be a mistake and hopes Kaka stays put.

“His choice has to come from the heart and he has to consider it carefully,” The Duck told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“But if I were in his shoes I wouldn't have any doubts. I would stay put here at Milan because this is his home. I really hope he will keep playing alongside me.”

Pato was the hero in Milan's 2-2 draw with Roma as he provided a crucial brace.

“My objective is very simple,” Pato said. “I want to be the best in the world and to emulate my idol Ronaldo.

“When I was a kid I used to watch him play and try to imitate him. My dream is to achieve what he did at club level and with the Selecao.”
