Latest reports suggest that Manchester City have upped their bid for Kaka to £107m and Milan have allowed the Brazilian to discuss terms.
Should a deal be agreed, it would shatter all transfer records and make Kaka the highest earner in the history of the game.
Milan are officially still considering the bid for the Brazilian star, but they have granted City owner Sheikh Mansour the right to talk to Kaka.
Kaka's father Bosco, who also acts as his advisor, has cut his holiday short to negotiate the terms of a possible contract with City.
The Manchester outfit are expected to offer around £500,000 per week plus bonuses and a signing on fee.
Milan have authorised negotiations with Manchester City, Kaka's personal assistant Diego Kotscho revealed. The next step now is for Kaka's father to talk to City.
