Siena are in negotiations with Roma over a loan deal for young striking prospect Stefano Chuka Okaka.
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan to Serie B side Modena and was close to agreeing a temporary move to Bologna last summer.
Luciano Spalletti prevented Okaka moving to Emilia-Romagna, but the impressive form of Julio Baptista has made the youngster surplus to requirements in the capital.
Siena, who are likely to lose Emanuele Calaiò, see Okaka as a possible replacement.
We are in talks with Roma for Okaka, Siena sporting director Manuel Gerolin told Laroma24.
He is a player who we have been tracking for a while and we have asked Roma whether we could sign him during this transfer window.
It would be a loan deal, but that doesn't necessarily mean we are going to lose one of the strikers we have at the moment.
