Inter midfielder Patrick Vieira is considering retirement from international football in order to prolong his career.
The 32-year-old former Arsenal captain has suffered injury after injury in recent months and is tired of breaking down.
I have to take a decision, Vieira told LEquipe. It would be useless to play some matches for France and then stop myself again for a few months.
Vieira, who has 106 caps for Les Bleus, hopes he can come back from his latest setback, an Achilles problem, to help Inter in the title race.
The ideal, if all goes to plan, would be to return to full fitness by the end of the month and then play uninterrupted for all of February.
Vieira has started on just eight occasions for Inter this season as they continue their bid to win their fourth straight Scudetto.
