Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed that Inter are interested in signing their French international striker Karim Benzema.
The Nerazzurri are believed to be in the market for a striker who can take some of the weight off Zlatan Ibrahimovics shoulders.
Benzema is one of the hottest prospects in European football and has already scored 15 goals this season.
We will do everything possible to keep him with us a little longer, said Aulas. If the teams results are in line with our ambitions, we will have good reasons to convince him to stay.
We dont have to view the clubs that want Benzema as enemies. On the contrary, its an honour that Manchester United, Real Madrid, Inter and Barcelona are interested in Karim.
This means that they are interested in Lyon and that they follow us with attention. Its better to arouse envy than pain.
As Aulas suggests, Inter will face stiff competition in their bid to land the 21-year-old who debuted for France in March 2007.
Until now, the Nerazzurri were thought to be focusing all their attempts on luring the unsettled Didier Drogba away from last years Champions League runners up Chelsea.
