Catania Coach Walter Zenga refused to admit he got his tactics wrong after the Elefanti lost 3-0 to Juventus in the Coppa Italia last night.
The Sicilian side were never in the game as Juventus took the lead after just four minutes through former Parma midfielder Marco Marchionni.
In my opinion, our approach was good, said an unrepentant Zenga. We must not forget that we had Juventus in front of us.
We looked to do our best. We have to keep on playing with the mentality that, even if we are three goals behind, we look to score goals.
Juventus put the game beyond Catania when Sebastian Giovinco and Alessandro Del Piero found the net midway through the second half.
The Bianconeri will now face Napoli in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. Meanwhile, Catania will concentrate on Serie A where they lie 10th. Zengas side host Bologna on Sunday.
