Mancio's Chelsea link rejected
Monday 12 January, 2009

Ex-Inter Coach Roberto Mancini is being linked with the Chelsea hot seat, but his representative denies any contact.

Mancio had been unemployed since he received his marching orders from Massimo Moratti at the end of last season.

The Scudetto-winning tactician has been linked with Sunderland, Manchester City and now Chelsea, but advisor Maurizio De Giorgis maintains he is happy to remain under contract with former employers Inter.

“I can tell you that nobody has approached Mancini,” he told Goal.com.

“We haven't had any contact with Chelsea, Manchester City or any other English side.

“Mancini is studying English, but he wasn't in England last week. He is in Italy and has been there for quite a long time.

“You never know what might happen in football though. We could get a call from someone in the next few hours.

“For now Mancini is being paid by Inter and we haven't considered any other club.”
