Inter President Massimo Moratti has warned want-away starlet Mario Balotelli that he “is fortunate to have Jose Mourinho’s advice.”
The 18-year-old hinted he’ll request a January transfer after he was frozen out of the squad for not pulling his weight in training.
“I think he will have time to learn from Mourinho what discipline, tactics, living in a club like this is really all about,” insisted Moratti.
“We have faith in him, because he has talent, intelligence and the character to become the great champion we believe he can be.
“However, even the best have to take a certain journey. He is fortunate to have a positive Coach like Mourinho and should make the most of it. That is my advice.
“I really doubt that Balotelli will leave Inter.”
The situation is coming to a head, though, as last night the Coach slammed Balotelli and his agent for recent comments.
“Mario is not indolent. He is a nice lad, but I don't like what he is bringing to the team right now and how he works during the week,” said Mourinho.
“It is not laziness, but nor is it the right attitude for a young player who wants to make his mark.
“This is an important club and he has to change his approach, because there are so many talents here and a Coach has to be honest and give the chances to those who deserve them.”
