Under-21 boss Pierluigi Casiraghi has announced the players to replace Claudio Marchisio and Pablo Daniel Osvaldo in his squad to face Sweden.
The Azzurrini host the Swedes on Wednesday evening in a preview of a battle that will take place at this summer's European Championship.
Italy's opponents aren't to be underestimated and recently hammered Holland's youngsters 3-0.
Casiraghi has had to deal with losing Juventus midfielder Marchisio and also Bologna striking starlet Osvaldo, but he has chosen to throw two familiar faces into the squad.
Davide Lanzafame, who is co-owned by Juventus and Palermo but on loan to Bari, may receive his eighth Under-21 outing.
The other new man is Lino Marzoratti of Serie B side Empoli. The 22-year-old defender has 14 junior caps to his name since making his debut against Luxembourg in December 2006.
