| Adebayor to miss Roma match |
Sunday 8 February, 2009 |
|
Arsenal are likely to be without Emmanuel Adebayor for the Champions League clash with Roma after he sustained a hamstring injury.
The Togo international was stretchered off 35 minutes into today's 0-0 draw at Tottenham and initial reports suggest he will be out of action for three weeks.
He is set to miss out on the first leg of the Champions League knockout tie with Roma on February 24.
The second leg is in March and if there are no complications then Adebayor should be fit for that trip to the Olimpico.
The injury significantly reduces Arsenal's firepower, as January signing Andrei Arshavin is Cup-tied following his performances for Zenit this season.
Eduardo da Silva was back in the squad today almost a year after breaking his leg.
