| Cesare 'apologises' to Lazio |
Sunday 8 February, 2009 |

Cesare Prandelli admits Fiorentina did not deserve to win against a Lazio side that played a man down for 70 minutes.
We did not deserve to win today, confessed the Coach after Alberto Gilardino grabbed a 1-0 result in stoppages.
We were fortunate, but also did well to fight for the victory right to the end. We made too many mistakes and allowed Lazio too many dangerous situations.
Sebastien Frey was Man of the Match with a series of decisive saves keeping out Goran Pandev and Mauro Zarate even after Lorenzo De Silvestri's dismissal.
The result nonetheless allows the Viola to leapfrog Genoa into fourth place and a Champions League spot.
We are not looking at the table, insisted Prandelli. It will always be variable until the final round of the season.
We will try to play a bit better than today in the next few games so we can maintain this position, even if it won't be easy.
