| Diamoutene: I'll be Roma's Thuram |

Roma's new signing Souleymane Diamoutene tells the fans he aspires to be like Lilian Thuram at the club.
“I am physically strong and good in the air, but I know I have to improve tactically and I am in the right place to do that,” said the new arrival.
“My idol is Thuram, which is why I took the Number 21 jersey. [Francesco] Totti was my hero growing up and I always dreamed of playing alongside him.”
The former Lecce defender made the move during the January transfer window and has been included in the Giallorossi's squad for the Champions League knockout rounds.
“Roma are a team of great champions and to come here from Lecce means something. I'm here to give my best.
“I already knew a few players, this squad is strong and I will do everything I can to stay here as long as possible.”
Diamoutene certainly made a big step up in his career, as he was on the bench for much of relegation battlers Lecce's campaign.
“I helped the side to promotion and the club was focusing on me, but then every Coach has his own ideas. I only played eight games, but I have been a regular starter in my career from age 18.”
He was signed for his versatility, as he is able to play in central defence or at right-back, replacing the outcast Christian Panucci.
“I have always played as a centre-back and at times was on the right, even at international level, when there was an emergency. Sometimes I was even on the left this season. But if I have to choose, I prefer to be in the middle.”
