Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi promises he'll do everything in his power to keep Diego Milito at the club, but admits he can't compete with calcio's giants.
Milito is proving to be one of the signings of last summer with 14 goals to his name in his second spell at the club since completing a move from Real Zaragoza.
There have been reports suggesting that Juventus and Inter are ready to table bids for Milito and Genoa have allegedly already turned down an offer from the Nerazzurri.
We will try as hard as we can to negotiate with Milito, Preziosi assured Grifone fans on Radio Radio TV.
But it also depends on him because sometimes you can't stop players making a move.
We have made a great effort to match his wages of £2.3m per season, but we can't compete with sides who are offering double that sum.
