Italy Coach Marcello Lippi believes that Inter defensive starlet Davide Santon has an Azzurri future.
The Nerazzurri have been hit by defensive injury problems this season, causing Jose Mourinho to turn to 18-year-old stopper Santon.
The No 39 has impressed in his first starts at senior level and seems to have caught Lippi's eye.
I must confess that I didn't know Santon before his debut a few weeks ago, Lippi admitted to Sky Sport Italia.
I saw him play for the first time in Inter's Coppa Italia game against Roma and I was certainly impressed.
In my opinion, Santon has all the potential necessary to become a champion and will surely have the chance to play for the Azzurri one day.
I was really struck by his temperament, especially considering the strength of the team and the incredible level of quality they have there - he knows how to handle pressure.
