The transfer window is closed, but Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani promises he will do everything possible to keep David Beckham.
Beckham is currently on loan from Los Angeles Galaxy and due to return to America on March 9.
But the former Manchester United man has made a huge impression and seems to have settled very well.
He is a Galaxy player and we can't kidnap him, Galliani joked in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
I think he would like to stay, but I can only talk about the club's wishes and Milan will do whatever we can to keep Beckham until the end of the season or for good.
There's hope, but contracts have to be honoured. The facts are clear - on March 9, Beckham must go back to America.
On February 23 I will have been at Milan for 23 years and I have learned something in that time - a director's fate is related to the motivation of players more than his own actions, he concluded.
