Roma defender Christian Panucci has been left out of the Giallorossis Champions League squad fuelling speculation that he will join Hull City later today.
The 35-year-old defender is no longer considered part of Luciano Spallettis plans after he refused to sit on the bench against Napoli on January 25.
Panuccis agent, Oscar Damiani, said only yesterday that his client would remain with Roma, but revealed he had been discussing moves to the Premier League.
I really think Christian will remain at Roma and respect his contract, Damiani told LaRoma24.it in a candid interview.
We have not reached an agreement. The proposals we received were not considered valid for the player.
There appears to be little space for Panucci, though, as Roma have already replaced him, signing Marco Motta from Udinese and Souleymane Diamoutene from Lecce.
Both players have been added to the Giallorossis Champions League squad of 25 players. Panucci is not even on the reserve B list.
The former Milan and Real Madrid defender insisted last week that he is only willing to play for Roma if he is guaranteed a first team place.
He hasnt featured in any of the Giallorossis last three games in Serie A. Along with Hull City, Panucci has been linked with Torino and his hometown club Genoa.
