Inter transfer guru Marco Branca confirms the club is tracking Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero. “We are monitoring him every weekend.”
The Atletico Madrid striker has been repeatedly linked with a move to San Siro, especially after his father-in-law, Diego Armando Maradona, recommended the switch.
“For a team like ours, who have been at the top for a few years, consistency and hard work is crucial to everyone at the club,” Branca told the Corriere dello Sport.
“We must find elements who have the right psychological and technical characteristics to suit us. Aguero? It depends on the financial factor…
“He has everything to be considered a top player. We do get certain players monitored by many different people who every weekend go to watch the games for us, but we have not yet asked for a price-tag nor sat round a table for negotiations.”
Branca was more open discussing the future of Robert Acquafresca, who is on loan to Cagliari at the moment.
“Acquafresca is doing very well in Sardinia and he will return to Inter in the summer.”
Another possible transfer target is Diego Milito of Genoa, but the Nerazzurri chief calmed the waters.
“Milito is a forward with excellent qualities and he is doing well. He and all other players who perform to a high level will inevitably be linked with Inter because we are a great squad.”
