Julio Baptista is confident Roma can knock Arsenal out of the Champions League despite losing the first leg.
“We had some problems in the first half, but got much better after David Pizarro came off the bench,” explained the former Gunners striker.
Robin van Persie converted a penalty to give the Londoners a 1-0 lead going into the Olimpico, but for ‘The Beast’ all is not lost.
“It’s a shame we were a little tired, because we spent so much time chasing the ball, but sometimes these things happen. We were missing a lot of important players.
“On home turf we are pretty prolific, so all we need to do is keep on working the way we always have.”
All three Italian-English battles hang in the balance, as Juventus lost 1-0 at Chelsea while Inter go to Manchester United following their 0-0 draw.
“Nothing has been decided yet and I think only the Sporting Lisbon fans can feel they are out at this stage,” added Baptista.
Luca Toni bagged a brace when Bayern Munich won 5-0 in Lisbon this week.
