Bologna defender Miguel Britos has impressed Uruguay Coach Oscar Tabarez this season and looks set to win his first cap for the Charruas.
The 23-year-old Britos is in his first season with Bologna and has become a cornerstone in their defence since joining the club in the summer.
The former Montevideo Wanderers youngster scored his first goal for Bologna on Saturday against League leaders Inter.
I have been following him for a while, Tabarez told Uruguay daily newspaper Stadio. But I don't want to put any pressure on him.
We already have excellent defenders like Diego Lugano, Gerardo Alcoba and Diego Godin, the former Cagliari and Milan boss revealed.
Britos is a player with personality. If you watch how he moves, how he defends, you see that he is destined to become a great defender.
Britos has appeared in Bologna's last three games and after a period of adjustment is establishing himself as a regular in Sinisa Mihajlovic's side.
