Mirko eyes away goal
Monday 23 February, 2009

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic has stressed the importance of scoring a goal away to Arsenal tomorrow.

The Eternal City outfit take on the Gunners in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash.

A Rodrigo Taddei goal to beat Siena last Saturday allowed Luciano Spalletti's side to put an embarrassing 3-0 loss to Atalanta behind them.

“I am optimistic that we can finish in fourth place this season,” Vucinic told Sky Sport Italia.

“I don't know whether it will require five wins in a row or maybe 10 but I believe in finishing even higher than fourth.

“As for the Champions League, an away goal is very important in this competition.

“It will be difficult for us, but I am optimistic. I like the way Arsenal play with power and pace and Samir Nasri is very dangerous as is Robin Van Persie.”
