Mario Beretta is upset with his team after they lost 2-0 at home to Lazio on Sunday, plunging them into the relegation zone.
With just 13 games left from now until the end of the season, Lecce are third from bottom in Serie A, albeit only a single point adrift of safety.
“Aside from the unfortunate incidents such as the posts we hit, we didn't give a very good performance,” Beretta told Rai.
“Lazio played a lot better than us,” he admitted. “There are 13 games left. That's enough, but we have to avoid committing the same errors as we did on Sunday.”
Lecce were promoted via the playoffs last summer and have hovered above the drop zone throughout this season.
The Salentini are back in action next weekend when they travel to Udinese, who lost 1-0 to relegation rivals Torino yesterday.
