Adriano assures he has learned to change his ways and is very confident about Inter’s Scudetto and Champions League chances.
“I am relaxed, I’ve learned not to listen to everything people say about me in the newspapers and on television. I accept all criticism, as long as it is fair.”
L’Imperatore has had a topsy turvy career with the Nerazzurri, from hero to outcast and back again, his goal in the derby last weekend causing controversy as it ricocheted in off his arm.
“With the victory against Milan we took a step forward, but it’s not over,” he told Sky Italia television.
“We know we have a big advantage, but must keep picking up points and remain concentrated on the games that are left.”
Their focus could be split from next week, as they face Bologna on Saturday and then dive into the Champions League knockouts against holders Manchester United.
“We can do it,” grinned Adriano. “I don’t want to make promises right now, but we certainly have the desire to win and everything it takes. That knowledge fires you up and helps you believe, even if Manchester United are strong.”
Adri has improved considerably, but warns there is a long way to go before he hits his peak.
“Physically I am still not 100 per cent fit, as I think I’m missing something in terms of power and in fact haven’t had a shot from distance for a while.”
