Roma have yet to call their talented midfielder Alberto Aquilani and offer him a new contract, according to the player's agent.
The 25-year-old Italy international insists he is committed to the Giallorossi but continues to have his head swung by interest from Inter and Juventus.
We are waiting for a phone call, Franco Zavaglia told Radio Radio. At Christmas Rosella Sensi said that a renewal wouldn't be a problem.
When asked why contract negotiations had yet to start, Zavaglia refused to reveal any possible complications that could be halting the deal.
We could speak of them if we were sat down, Zavaglia said. But we're yet to sit down and I can't tell you a reason why.
Zavaglia then once again reiterated that Aquilani would still like to play for Roma and has no intention of going elsewhere.
Alberto's priorities are to recover from his latest injury setback and give his support to Roma, Zavaglia concluded.
Aquilani has been a regular for Roma in each of the last five seasons. He has made 17 appearances for the Giallorossi in the current campaign.
