| Nesta's career in jeopardy |

Milan defender Alessandro Nesta could be forced to retire early, as he goes under the knife again to resolve a chronic back problem.
The 32-year-old former Lazio captain has made just one appearance for the Rossoneri this season in a friendly against Albanian side Tirana in October.
Nesta was expected to make the squad for last night's Derby della Madonnina but it has now been revealed that he suffered a severe pain in his back on Wednesday.
The Italy international reportedly had trouble sleeping throughout the week and a decision to operate was made this morning.
It is the third time in the last year Nesta has suffered a relapse and frequent trips to a specialist in Miami appear to have done little good.
Milan have already moved to cover his position should he retire. Philippe Senderos is on loan from Arsenal and Thiago Silva will be available to play at centre-back next season.
