Milan to increase Becks bid
Friday 13 February, 2009

There are reports that Milan are ready to up their bid for David Beckham and LA Galaxy boss Bruce Arena admits a large offer will be considered.

Beckham is running out of time to make his loan switch to Milan permanent and is due to return to America on March 9.

And yesterday, Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber told Galaxy CEO Tim Leiweke that Beckham's future should be resolved as soon as possible.

According to the latest reports in The Sun, Milan have increased their offer from around £5m to closer to £10m.

While Galaxy are keen to keep their prized asset at the club, Coach Arena has admitted that a significant bid would be considered.

“When the Milan directors make an offer that we see as the best possible we will consider it and weight it up looking at the interests of the club,” the former USA tactician said on BBC Radio Five Live.
