Juventus director of sport Alessio Secco was in Seville last night to watch Valencia winger David Silva with a view to bidding for his services this summer.
Silva, who came on as a second half substitute as Spain beat England 2-0, is being lined up to succeed Pavel Nedved who recently turned 36 and is considering retirement.
Juventus had looked to Werder Bremen's Diego as a replacement for the aging Nedved, but the German outfit are determined to keep hold of the talented Brazilian.
Negotiations for Silva are expected to be much smoother as Valencia are in some financial difficulty and need to sell players.
Silva is only just 23 and was part of the Spain side that won Euro 2008 last summer. He has made eight appearances for Valencia this season and scored two goals.
