Inter enigma Adriano was at the top of Luiz Felipe Scolari's shopping list before he was axed by Chelsea, according to L'Imperatore's agent.
Adriano's future still isn't certain but it seems that relations with Coach Jose Mourinho have improved lately.
The Brazilian marksman had looked set to leave Inter a few months ago when he turned up to training under the influence of alcohol and was late on more than one occasion.
Adri was linked with Chelsea during his tough times with the Nerazzurri and it seems there was substance to those reports.
Scolari really wanted Adriano, agent Gilmar Rinaldi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
We spoke about him many times but mainly he talked to Inter sporting director Marco Branca.
In the end they decided together that they would allow Adriano to stay at Inter.
Scolari was sacked yesterday, prompting suggestions that Roberto Mancini, Carlo Ancelotti or Gianfranco Zola may take the Stamford Bridge hot seat.
