| Roma suffer Taddei blow |
Tuesday 9 December, 2008 |
|
Roma have lost winger Rodrigo Taddei for tonight's Champions League battle with Bordeaux.
It's a pivotal night for the Giallorossi, as they play for a place in the last 16, needing just a draw at the Stadio Olimpico to progress.
But they will be without injury-prone Brazilian Taddei, who has suffered a calf strain in training.
The ex-Siena star will undergo tests this afternoon to ascertain the extent of the problem.
There are fears that Taddei could be out of action for anything up to seven weeks and will return in the New Year.
Roma are currently dealing with a number of injuries. Alberto Aquilani, David Pizarro, Christian Panucci and Max Tonetto are all sidelined.
