| Spalletti admires Menez |

Luciano Spalletti had rarely started Jeremy Menez, but insists he is “not at all surprised” by the Frenchman's sensational performance in Verona.
“He scored a splendid goal, ran into space and did some marvellous things,” smiled the Coach after a 1-0 victory away to Chievo.
“He was decisive. I am not at all surprised, because I know he has exceptional skills and is a real talent. He just needs to be a bit more useful to the squad, but he is improving and will continue to grow.”
Menez had this week threatened to quit Roma if he failed to get more regular playing time, so with Mirko Vucinic injured he got his chance against Chievo.
The summer signing took it brilliantly, scoring a fine volley and setting up several other opportunities at the Bentegodi.
This was Roma's fourth consecutive Serie A victory and they are slowly but surely making their way back up the table.
“We have to continue like this. Of course I won't expect a repeat of the record 11 consecutive wins we had two years ago, as that was a unique achievement.
“I am just happy to see my players are in good psychological and physical shape. There was the risk they would lose faith in themselves, but they reacted and now we can even afford to do without some injured figures.”
