This afternoon's defeat at Livorno proved the final straw, as Salernitana have fired Coach Fabrizio Castori.
The tactician had been hanging by a thread after a series of setbacks that have seen the club go from promotion contenders to risking relegation.
The 3-0 hammering at Livorno earlier today was decisive, as the official Salernitana website confirmed the news Castori had been fired.
The race to replace him is on and the current favourite is former Torino tactician Giancarlo Camolese.
Salernitana are the sixth Serie B club to fire their Coach after Brescia, Parma, Avellino, Ascoli and Mantova.
