David Beckham can't wait to pull on the Milan shirt and hopes his move to the Diavolo will help him command a place in the England side.
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani pulled off a huge coup when he agreed a loan deal to bring Beckham to San Siro from January to March.
It is believed that Beckham will arrive in Italy's fashion capital just before Christmas to settle in before beginning training with the Rossoneri in the New Year.
It's important to keep playing regularly in order to stay in shape, Beckham said. That's one of the reasons why I decided to go to Milan for a few months.
To play for one of the biggest clubs in the world as well as wearing the England shirt is an honour for any player.
I want to keep representing my nation, but I am taking it one game at a time.
Beckham also gave his opinion on England's Italian boss Fabio Capello.
He is doing well in his management of every player and the team as a whole, the ex-Manchester United man said.
He is also doing good work for England as a whole because there was such gloom after the failure to qualify for Euro 2008.
The important thing now is to stay focused and continue to play like this so that we reach World Cup 2010 - there's lots of work to do.
