Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari claims he is waiting for Chelsea star Michael Essien to join him at San Siro.
Muntari signed from Portsmouth in the summer after the Nerazzurri failed in their attempts to lure Frank Lampard.
Essien, who is a close friend and international teammate of Muntari, played an important role in persuading the midfielder to accept a move to Inter.
Essien is like a brother to me, Muntari told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
When Inter made it known that they were interested, Michael called me up and told me I should agree to the move without any doubt because Jose Mourinho is a great Coach.
I already enjoy playing alongside Essien in the national side and hopefully he will move here too.
Muntari made his name at Udinese under current Roma tactician Luciano Spalletti.
I owe Spalletti a lot, the 24-year-old admitted. He was really important in my life and Udine was a crucial experience.
As for Mourinho, he is undeniably the most complete tactician I have ever met.
"Other tacticians just focus on things on the pitch, but he is ever-present and takes care of every little detail.
