| Rossi: Lazio are not in crisis |

Delio Rossi insists Lazio “are not in crisis” ahead of the Coppa Italia clash with Milan, despite a series of poor results.
“The team was organised in Bergamo, but we conceded the opener against the run of play,” he said of Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Atalanta.
“That shook us and we lost our confidence, so we were unable to turn it around. Now we must react, because this is not a side in crisis.”
The Biancocelesti have struggled to get back on track since losing the derby to arch rivals Roma, earning only one point from their next two games with Genoa and Atalanta.
“We need to have a constructive and not destructive approach to this,” continued Rossi.
“I do not understand, for example, why teams in our same position are considered to be revelations, while we are talked about in terms of crisis. Unfortunately, we are still carrying the weight of that derby.”
Lazio have the opportunity to improve their confidence when facing Milan in tomorrow's Coppa Italia clash.
“We care about the Coppa Italia, because it gives us entry into the UEFA Cup. I will make three or four changes, but will not revolutionise the squad.”
Fernando Muslera will go in goal and Rossi hinted that Goran Pandev and Mobido Diakite' could be in the starting XI.
Francelino Matuzalem, Sebastiano Siviglia, Fabio Firmani and Simone Del Nero are still injured, while Tommaso Rocchi could again be dropped for Stefano Mauri.
The match will be shown live on SportsXchange, Sky channel 456 and in the Republic of Ireland on UPC channel 417. Kick-off is at 19.45. |
