Camo sets 2009 goal
Sunday 28 December, 2008

Injury plagued Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi wants to stay out of the treatment room for the rest of the season.

The 32-year-old World Cup winner has been influential in 2008-09, but has only made eights appearances in Bianconero.

“I would like more continuity and fewer injuries,” said Camoranesi in an interview with Juventus Channel.

When asked to name his happiest moment of 2008, the former Hellas Verona star replied: “The most emotional game was the victory away to Inter.”

The Oriundo was decisive in that match, scoring a goal to help Juventus to their first win over Inter since the Calciopoli scandal.

The Bianconeri are enjoying an excellent season and Camoranesi believes a lot of the club’s success is down to the signings made in the summer.

“We have become a lot stronger thanks to the arrival of five or six new players of international calibre.”

Juventus currently lie second in Serie A, just six points behind Inter after a run of nine victories in their last 10 games.
