Inter can be overtaken at the top of the Serie A table in 2009, insists Juventus full-back Cristian Molinaro.
The Nerazzurri will start the New Year six points clear of the Old Lady, but the former Siena and Salernitana man believes he could end the campaign as a champion of Italy.
“With the right determination we can beat anyone and this is the spring which will help us try to get into first place,” said Molinaro.
Juventus ended a glorious 2008 with a 3-1 win over Atalanta, a match which the defender believes Juve can build on.
“We must always play like we did in Bergamo, apart from the first 10 minutes,” added the 25-year-old.
“It wasn’t easy to beat them at all. In fact, it was very difficult for us against a side that plays good football.
“We struggled a little at the start of the first and second periods, but we were fortunate to take the lead and then we held on to the result.”
Juventus will resume their League campaign with a home tie against Siena, who were unlucky to lose 2-1 to Inter on Saturday.
