Veteran Palermo keeper Alberto Fontana will move to Serie B giants Parma, Rosanero chief Maurizio Zamparini claims.
The custodian, born in January 1967, is unhappy with life on the bench after the summer arrival of Italy No 2 Marco Amelia from Livorno.
Although previously associated with a switch to Roma, it now appears that the Ducali are ready to swoop for the ageing star.
I think it will happen, noted the Sicilian President. He cant be handed a first team shirt here with us.
It is his desire to play regular football therefore he will join a club where he will be assured of a place in the side.
Parma, joint top at the moment, are looking like a real promotion contender following the arrival of new boss Francesco Guidolin.
The latter knows all about Fontana after bossing him for a period at the Stadio Renzo Barbera in the past. |
