Lazio will end the campaign with key midfielder Cristian Ledesma still on their books, insists the Argentines agent.
Ledesma was rumoured to be a possible January departure given the difficulties in his contract renewal talks.
But representative Vincenzo DIppolito has reassured Biancocelesti fans that his client will only ponder his future at the end of the campaign.
He definitely wont leave in January, he noted. However, we will evaluate all of our options in June.
Ledesma, a reported target for Inter and Juventus, is tied to the Biancocelesti until 2010 but talks to extend that agreement have stalled.
As things stand, there is a 50 per cent chance that he will leave and 50 per cent chance that he will stay during the summer, DIppolito continued.
There is no preferred destination though. Ledesma is purely thinking about Lazio and there hasnt been contact with any other club. Now is not the time for that.
Ledesma, born in 1982, joined Lazio in 2006 after five years with southern minnows Lecce following a spell at Boca Juniors. |
