Abbiati: Juve loss stings
Monday 15 December, 2008

Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati admits that losing to Juventus was a painful blow.

The Rossoneri slumped to a 4-2 defeat in Turin and dropped to third place in the table.

It was a miserable night for Abbiati, who represented Juve in the 2005-06 campaign.

“This defeat really burns,” the 31-year-old lamented after the final whistle.

“As a team we were too static and it wasn't the real Milan out there, even if we were a little unlucky.

“It was a special night because I returned to Turin, where I spent an important year. That club gave me so much, but I only have Milan in my heart now.

“The only thing to think about now is rolling up our sleeves against Udinese because we must improve from here.”
