Fiorentina 2-0 Catania
Cesare Prandelli: Comments.
Walter Zenga: “It is an undeserved defeat, as we gifted Fiorentina two goals. I don’t think it strange that we earn more points at home than away, the important thing is for the team to fight and give it their all.”
Genoa 1-1 Atalanta
Gian Piero Gasperini: “It has been a difficult week with injuries. Once we went behind, we struggled against a good team like Atalanta. We thought we could overturn the result with the extra man, but scored too late to complete the comeback.”
Luigi Del Neri: “It is nonetheless a valuable point that allows us to maintain our positive streak. We fully deserved the win until the red cards, but with a little more luck could well have got all three points. Genoa are strong and talented, but my lads showed they have the right mentality to win anywhere.”
Inter 4-2 Chievo
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “We struggled very much, but in the end won it. We should have sealed the game up earlier. I am in good shape physically and psychologically, because I know everyone has faith in me.”
Domenico Di Carlo: “I am happy with the way we reacted despite going 2-0 down, as we even risked taking the lead a few times. We played with great intensity and I can’t help but be pleased with my players. We only lost to the leaders in the final minutes.”
Palermo 2-0 Siena
Palermo are not speaking to the media.
Marco Giampaolo: “We had a strong start and some good chances, but did not break the deadlock and so the game did not go our way. It’s a shame. There are a few things to complain about in our performance, but we aren’t badly placed in the table and are five points clear of the relegation zone.”
Reggina 0-2 Sampdoria
Nevio Orlandi: “We suffered too much down the flanks and the penalty really cut us down. We have to work hard and there is a very wide margin for improvement.”
Walter Mazzarri: “We lost the derby, but I have to praise my lads for their reaction. Reggina did very well, but we stepped up a gear in the second half. Cassano is important, but so is the rest of the squad. He has changed a great deal thanks to the Samp environment and a girlfriend who keeps him calm. He’s bound to do a few silly things, as that is part of his character.”
Roma 3-2 Cagliari
Simone Perrotta: “I am happy with the goal, but even more so about the victory. We had to win and achieved it. We may be quite far from the position we deserve, but we are on the right track. We are humble and have the same spirit as two years ago, when we notched up 11 straight wins. Cagliari played very well and deserve praise for putting us under pressure.”
Massimiliano Allegri: “I am satisfied with the performance, as we lost only to two unlucky incidents. I don’t regret leaving Robert Acquafresca on the bench initially, as he was tired while Joaquin Larrivey did well in training this week.”
Udinese 3-3 Lazio
Pasquale Marino: Comments
Delio Rossi: “I expected Udinese to play with a 4-3-3, but they adopted the 3-4-3 instead. It was a strange match. We took control when everything seemed to favour our opponents and in the end earned a deserved point. We have to work on our defence but also the overall quality of our football. I am happy with the reaction, but we made too many mistakes first.”
