Lecce boss Mario Beretta holds today’s opponents Napoli in the same regard as Juventus, Inter or Milan.
“Napoli are a great squad and very united, but we will try to play our game the same way we did against Milan, Inter and Juve, trying to make the most of our chances,” said the Coach.
The two sides meet at the Stadio San Paolo this evening and Lecce are undoubtedly the underdogs, although they have shown themselves capable of upsetting the big sides.
They held Milan to a 1-1 draw and last week were seconds away from doing the same with Juventus before Amauri’s last-gasp header.
“We begin again from our performance against Juve, which I consider extremely positive. We did not deserve to lose,” added Beretta.
They have made the trip to Naples without the injured Andrea Zanchetta, Andrea Ardito and Viktor Boudianski, forcing a midfield reshuffle.
“It’s a shame, as a Coach always likes to have a full squad at his disposal so he can make his own choices.”
Jose Castillo is not 100 per cent fit either, so Beretta could opt for a 4-4-1-1 with Guillermo Giacomazzi supporting Simone Tiribocchi.
