Parma hope to get back into Serie A as soon as possible after signing Gianluca Pegolo from Genoa.
The club made the loan deal official this afternoon and announced it will present him to the media on Tuesday at the Collecchio training ground.
The deal extends until June 30, 2009 and will see the 27-year-old stand between the posts at the Stadio Tardini.
It is a return to Parma for the player, who started his career in their youth system before moving on to Verona in 2000.
Pegolo went on to play for Fiorenzuola, Verona and spent last season at Mantova.
Other summer signings at Parma include Alessandro Lucarelli, who has joined brother Cristiano, and Julio Cesar Leon.
