Gianni De Biasi releases Vincenzo Grella and David Di Michele, but hopes Torino can impress against Fulham this afternoon.
Although officially Di Michele has remained in Turin to continue a personalised training regime, it is widely rumoured he is set to leave the club within the next few days.
Grella also has his bags packed and could possibly stay at Craven Cottage to complete his £5m move to Fulham after this match against his future teammates.
“Vincenzo has expressed his desire to challenge himself in the English League,” confessed De Biasi.
“If he does leave, we will replace him adequately. Otherwise, he’ll continue to fight with us for the good of Toro, a side he cares about a great deal.”
The tactician has repeatedly complained about the lack of transfer activity and yesterday their bid for Manchester City outcast Rolando Bianchi was rejected.
“I think we can be competitive as we are now, but in any case with President Urbano Cairo and director Pederzoli we have listed some precise transfer targets that we are keeping quiet.”
Kick-off against Fulham is at 14.00 this afternoon in London and De Biasi is hoping to make the most of the travelling Toro fans.
“We are working well and fortunately haven’t run into too many problems. I am receiving some satisfying responses from what happens on the field.
“We come to England aware that Fulham are at a far more advanced stage of pre-season training, but I still expect to see progress, better match fitness and for the team to put into practice the scenarios discussed during the week.
“It’ll be nice to have that slice of the Curva Maratona in the stands to give us support.”
Torino squad: Calderoni, Sereni; Colombo, Di Loreto, Diana, Ogbonna, Pisano, Pratali, Rubin; Barone, Corini, Grella, Rosina, Saumel; Abbruscato, Amoruso, Malonga, Stellone.
